Financial Benefits

  • Mobility scholarships are available at the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree levels, with maintenance payments of 4 (four) times the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), which is now equal to $12,614.80 in Mexican pesos per month. The changes mandated by legislation may affect the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA). Child support is provided one month late.
  • For Ph.D. scholarships: Doctoral Research Stays and Postdoctoral, Medical Specialties, and Subspecialties; a monthly maintenance payment of five) times the monthly value of the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA), currently $15,768.50 in Mexican pesos. The changes mandated by legislation may affect the Unit of Measurement and Update (UMA). Child support is provided one month late.
  • Enrollment and tuition fees are paid in accordance with each Mexican educational institution’s program requirements and are contingent upon each institution’s final determination, which is communicated in the acceptance letter.
  • Medical insurance is provided by the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS), effective for the duration of the scholarship period and starting on the seventh month of the award. For Private Institutions, this management will fall within the purview of AMEXCID. It will be done directly with the Higher Education Institution in the case of Public Universities.
