OAS Academic Scholarship Program 2024

Applications are invited for the Partially funded OAS Academic Scholarship Program 2024 for Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies, and or Graduate Research at any university in an OAS Member State, including those participating in the OAS Consortium of Universities.

Details:

The OAS Academic Scholarship Program 2024 (Regular Program), established in 1958, grants scholarships every year for the pursuit of Undergraduate Studies, Graduate Studies, and or Graduate Research leading to a university degree at any university in an OAS Member State, including those participating in the OAS Consortium of Universities.

Benefits:

The OAS Academic Scholarship Program scholars will receive the following benefits and benefits are allocated on a case-by-case basis:

  • US$10,000 per academic year
  • Tuition and mandatory fees 
  • Health insurance (for onsite students only)
  • Monthly complementary subsistence allowance (for onsite students only)
  • Roundtrip airfare (from the sponsoring country to the country of study)
  • Yearly books allowance (US $300 for onsite studies / US $1,000 for online studies)

Eligibility:

  • Be a citizen or permanent resident of an OAS Member State
  • Proficiency in language to undertake studies in the language of the institution in the country of study
  • Have obtained a first university degree by the time of applying for the scholarship
  • Have a GPA above the minimum standard required by the university
  • Be in good physical and mental health to complete the program successfully

Application:

Applicants for OAS Academic Scholarship Program 2020 are required to submit the following documents with the application:

  • Copy of the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree obtained
  • Copies of transcripts of grades for all academic degrees completed and to be completed
  • Two (2) recommendation letters: Preferably from current or former professors using the OAS Recommendation Statement Form, or previous employer using the Employer Recommendation Form
  • If unemployed or never employed, include a letter from a professor or someone who can be considered providing a reference of your qualities as a student or professional (using the Recommendation Statement Form)
  • Curriculum Vitae (maximum two (2) pages) 
  • Admission letter to a program of study to begin in August/September 2024
  • Selected candidates who wish to begin their studies between January and April 2024 may submit their admission letters by October 2024.

Deadline:

The last Date to Apply for the OAS Academic Scholarship Program is April 2024.
