Details of PhD Scholarship Positions in Europe

MARSoluT – Managed Aquifer Recharge Solutions Training Network – is a 04 years Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Innovative Training Network (ITN) funded by the European Commission.

Applicants from all relevant research fields are encouraged to apply, namely GEOSCIENCESENGINEERINGHYDROLOGY, and HYDROCHEMISTRY. The selected PhD applicants will perform high-level research activities towards a PhD. The MARSoluT Innovative Training Network (ITN) is funded by the Horizon 2020 Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions of the EU. The MARSoluT consortium consists of 10 partners that will recruit, host and train the PhD researchers.

  • 3-years full time employment contract with attractive salary includes a mobility allowance for personal travel as well as a family allowance (if applicable)

Eligibility

Eligibility requirements may vary with project. To be eligible for the Scholarships position, an applicant must:

  • University degree (Dipl. Univ./Master) in Geosciences, Hydrology, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related fields
  • Background in hydrochemistry with experience in laboratory work and modelling
  • Good team player with excellent communication skills and should be willing to travel abroad for secondments, training courses and other meetings/workshops
  • Proficiency in English language (written and oral)
  • Not have resided or carried out his/her main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of his/her host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to his/her recruitment
  • Short stays, such as holidays, are not taken into account
  • The ESR shall – at the date of recruitment by the host organisation – be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and have not been awarded a doctoral degree
